As with most Benedictine monasteries, Our Lady of the Rock is an independent community and thus does not receive any financial support from the Catholic Church. We rely completely upon ourselves and the generosity of friends and guests to maintain the monastery and continue its traditions. Funding needs: Two years ago we ran a large fund raising campaign in which we raised $236,000 in monetary and gift donations. This money was used to make long needed capital improvements to Our Lady of the Rock including:

• New roof on the monastery
• Used truck
• 2 used cars
• 1 Farm Gator
• New decks and ramps around the monastery
• New fencing around the farm
• Emergency fund

We are very grateful to the 114 individuals and foundations who donated to us at that time.

While these improvements have made us stronger in many ways, we are are facing new needs in 2009. Below is a list of our most pressing needs. We would be very grateful for any donation you are able to make towards these items.
